Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh
Point Design Group was hired by the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh for the Glen Hazel Community new outdoor basketball facility.
Point Design Group provided comprehensive surveying services for multiple prominent properties throughout downtown Pittsburgh, supporting ongoing development, renovation, and facility management efforts within the city’s urban core. These projects required a high level of precision and coordination, performed within complex, active environments surrounded by dense infrastructure and pedestrian activity.
Key survey efforts included work at Tower at PNC Plaza (Tower 260), the Highmark Building, the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts, and the Byham Theater, as well as Eddie V’s Prime Seafood within the Union Trust Building and the historic Horne’s Department Store (Piatt Place). Each site presented unique challenges, from tight urban conditions and limited access to the need for seamless coordination with building operations and ongoing public use.
Point Design Group delivered detailed boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys to support design teams, property owners, and project stakeholders. Utilizing advanced surveying technology and proven field methodologies, the team ensured accurate data collection while minimizing disruption to surrounding businesses, traffic, and daily operations.
Through reliable data, responsiveness, and experience working in complex urban settings, Morris Knowles continues to support the successful planning and execution of projects throughout downtown Pittsburgh—helping clients move forward with confidence in even the most challenging environments.
