
Bellwood Borough Authority Waterline Replacement Project
The Bellwood Borough Authority contracted Point Design Group to assist them in preparing plans and specifications, contract award administration and construction observation.
In eliminating old corroded water lines within the rear yards of residents, PDG and Authority met with the residents to reroute their service lines at no cost to them. Six (6) new customers were tied into the system. PDG worked with Antis Township to acquire additional easements through unimproved roadway.
The Bellwood Borough Authority requested Point Design Group to assist them in preparing plans and specifications, contract award administration and construction observation to replace an existing corroded 2” diameter cast iron water line with a 6” (3,200 LF) and 8” (1000 LF) diameter C-900 PVC water main to improve water volume, pressure and adequate fire flow for the installation of new fire hydrants for existing customers along East 9th Street, East 8TH Street, East 7th Street and South Tuckahoe Street in Antis Township.

Penn Trafford School District requested Point Design Group to assist with preparing plans and specifications and contract award administration for pipe bursting sections of badly broken sanitary sewer lines next to and around their football stadium due to sewer water escaping and penetrating through an embankment onto neighboring property.

Point Design Group was hired by the Upper Tyrone Township Sewage Authority to design a new sanitary system for 602 residents which had failing private on-lot systems.

Point Design Group performed the surveying and design of the 2,700 feet of 12 inch waterline and 100 feet of 8 inch waterline.

Point Design Group was hired by the City of Canton to design the bank stabilization and 72″ sanitary sewer replacement for an area where the bank was slipping towards the creek.

Point Design Group is the engineer for the Village of Lakemore and was hired to design a replacement 6 inch waterline approximately 890 feet long along Martha Avenue in the Village of Lakemore.
